WENATCHEE VALLEY YOUTH ORCHESTRA

Our Philosophy

To provide an inclusive environment that fosters excellence in all areas of music education, including a rigorous orchestral experience, emotional growth through musical expression, commitment and collaboration as a team with our ensemble and our community and experiencing the unique joy of musical performance.

Youth Orchestra Levels

Junior Orchestra

Students who have had a minimum of two years of string experience on violin, viola, cello, or bass. This ensemble focuses on introductory level music and ensemble skills. WVJO students participate in weekly sectionals, rehearsals, and perform three concerts per season.

Youth Orchestra

Students who have had a minimum of three years of playing experience on a string, woodwind, brass or percussion instrument. This ensemble focuses on continuing the development of technical, musical and ensemble skills. WVYO students participate in weekly sectionals, rehearsals and perform three concerts per season, including a collaboration with the Wenatchee Valley Symphony Orchestra.
